Wilson joined IN BUSINESS in 2006 having spent the majority of her career in the television industry. For over twenty years, she served as Program Director at network affiliate stations in Madison (WKOW-TV), Tulsa, OK (KOTV) and Green Bay
(WLUK-TV). Upon her return to Madison in1994, she helped launch cable channel 18, a still-frame advertising channel for TCI Cable. The Madison Police Department named her "Crimestopper of the Year" in 1994 for developing the cable TV program, Madison's Most Wanted. Later, Wilson joined WISC-TV to help launch WiSC2, the station's cable-only sister-channel (now My Madison TV).
Along the way, Wilson has been involved in focus group research, worked in public relations for Wood Communications Group, headed the Wheelchair Recycling Program, a local nonprofit, and worked on the relocation team for First Weber Group realtors.
A 2007 graduate of Civitas and alumnus of Leadership Greater Madison (Class 6), Wilson currently serves as secretary on the board of the Far Eastside Business Association (FEBA). Originally from Milwaukee, she earned a BA from UW-Madison in Communication Arts: Radio/TV/Film.
She and her husband live on Madison's west side.
